TBonz Restaurant Group was founded by two college friends, Mark Cumins and Jerry Scheer, who weren’t quite ready to get a “real job” so they decided to open a restaurant in Athens, Georgia. TBonz (spelled TBones back in 1985) was the result of their efforts. Low and behold, a few decades later, they found out that running a chain of restaurants spread across the southeast was not only a job, but a career. They now own and operate the TBonz-Liberty Restaurant Group with locations in Georgia and the Carolinas.

TBonz Steakhouse of Augusta, Georgia has been located at the intersection of Interstate 20 & Washington Rd since 1986 and is the place where locals go to meet and eat. We have been voted “Best Steak in Augusta” by readers of the Augusta Magazine every year since 1987. We serve only Certified Angus Beef and all of our steaks are hand cut in-house.

We may be known as “Best Steaks” but TBonz is so much more than steaks! Our original Buffalo and crispy Double Fried Chicken Wings are legendary. If you crave wings – we are your final & only destination. We offer only the freshest seafood and have many popular poultry dishes as well. Our BBQ Baby Back Ribs are “fall off the bone” tender and our Prime Rib melts in your mouth. We search the local markets for the freshest produce to serve up our meaty Grilled Salads and to garnish our wide array of Sandwiches and delicious ½ pound Angus Burgers. Our Soups and Chili are all made fresh daily and our Appetizer selection is the best in town. Our signature “Tommy Fries” are a must either as a starter or side dish to any of our wonderful lunch and dinner entrees. We have a full service bar and offer private dining for parties as well. Our servers are the nicest and our bartenders are the quickest. We have an extensive Kids Menu and welcome Take Out too.

TBonz is open for Lunch till “Late Nite” every day of the week.

TBonz believes that community awareness and participation is paramount to operating as a responsible and successful business member in our community. We operate with a strong belief that giving back allows our community to remain strong and vibrant and helps it expand and grow. We are active with local charities and schools and participate in all public events offered. We buy from local vendors whenever possible and recycle all cardboard and glass whenever available.
